One of the most difficult things to do is to give monetary gifts when you are also in need. It is hard to donate money, give offering or pay tithes when you can barely pay your own bills.
I mean, how can you help someone to stand when you can barely find your own footing? Yep. I know #this is hard to do :)
#But, that's exactly what God wants us to do. God wants us to give especially when we have little. In fact, God told us to #test him on this - in Malachi 3:10, "Bring all the tithes into the storehouse so there will be enough food in my Temple. If you do,” says the Lord of Heaven’s Armies, “I will open the windows of heaven for you. I will pour out a blessing so great you won’t have enough room to take it in! #Try it! #Put me to the #test!"
And God followed this request with a #promise of what will happen if we #test him. He said in Malachi 3:11, "Your crops will be abundant, for I will guard them from insects and disease. Your grapes will not fall from the vine before they are ripe,” says the Lord of Heaven’s Armies"
Do you remember the poor woman in Luke 21 who gave her last coin? Yes - Jesus greatly appreciated her very much because, she was a woman who was desperately in #need of receiving charity herself and yet there she was with a golden heart of #giving. We must learn from her. My friends, no matter your situation, I promise you that there's someone out there who would love to be where you are.
Yes - there's someone less fortunate than you. #Give to those in need, #pay tithes, pay offerings, and do it all with love from the little you have. Now wait and see God's promises flow like a river in every aspect of your life. May God continue to bless you and your families!

Even after being careful to follow all the commands, decrees, and regulations
that God has commanded to us in His #word, we are still bound to sin. If you are human, sin is inevitable. Psalm 51 should be our daily food. We are bound to slip here and there no matter how holy we strive to live and we might not even realize some of our sins. David called them "innermost sins". That is why King David asked this question in prayer; "Who perceives his unintentional sins?"
And then he #continued to pray for God to cleanse him from #all his #hidden faults. Even though David knew God loved him, he also knew this kind of sincere prayer was very necessary. I want you to join me today as we pray the same prayer David prayed in Psalm 19:12-13, "How can I know all the sins lurking in my heart? Cleanse me from these hidden faults. Keep your servant from deliberate sins! Don’t let them control me. Then I will be free of guilt and innocent of great sin"
We pray this in Jesus' Name. Amen!
If you prayed this prayer with me, May God answer your prayers. May God give you grace to always live his word. May God continue to bless you and your families!

When you set out to do something for God, you will encounter many obstacles. You will experience many  hindrances in your quest to accomplish something great. People will try to stop you, lack of resources will discourage your mission, you will experience many ups and downs along the way. Keep in mind that nothing good comes easily. You must not allow Satan and his cohorts to prevent you from achieving God's purpose. Apostle Paul wrote,
"I press on to reach the end of the race and receive the heavenly prize for which God, through Christ Jesus, is calling us."
 - Philippians 3:14

Because Paul used to murder Christians, people gave him a difficult time when God first called him into ministry - because they weren't used to this new Paul. But Paul didn't quit the ministry God had entrusted to him. He worked even harder for God. When Paul had a disagreement with Barnabas, he didn't quit - he continued working. My point is; when things got "complicated", Paul persevered.
No matter how "complicated", difficult or discouraging things get - whether at work, church, home, or simply in life, you must also persevere. Don't backslide just because someone refuses to accept the new you. Don't quit that thing just because it is too hard, and please, don't ever walk away from any opportunity God gives you - just because someone disapproves. You should only seek God's approval anyway :)
You will miss out on the actual prize if you quit life too early. May God continue to bless you and your families!

One might ask: "What is prayer?"
Well, I'm glad you asked :)
PRAYER is having a conversation with God as one would have with a best friend. Prayer must be a priority and a necessity for every Christian. Without prayer, a Christian would lose his/her way. It's a way to draw near to our God, to appreciate Him and to seek his favor.
HOW you pray and WHAT you pray about are equally important. Bible states that the Pharisees were sure to pray often and they also prayed long - but God never heard nor answered them - because their prayers were never right. Your prayers should not always be loaded with requests like; "Lord, I want a job. I want a house. I want a car. I want...
Bible tells us to make our request known to God through prayer and supplication - so there's nothing wrong with the "I wants".
But your prayer must be loaded with thanksgiving, gratitude, worship, praises, request for forgiveness of sins, and intercession for others. Don't forget that PRAYER breaks the gates of hell. Prayer tears down the stronghold of Satan over your life.
Prayer makes you untouchable to Satan and his cohorts. Prayer constantly gives you victory over the enemy. Prayer moves God to tackle Spiritual and physical issues that you didn't even know existed. That is why 1 Thessalonians 5:17 tells us to, "Never stop praying"
So, my friends, talk to God about EVERYTHING and everyone in your life. May God continue to bless you and your families!

God Directs the steps of his children

Monday, February 6, 2017

I remember a time when I needed to make an important decision and I consulted God for guidance and direction. But when God told me what to do, my own mind and feelings stirred me to the opposite direction of what God had told me to do. I ended up making the wrong decision by taking the wrong road and boy did I face the consequences of that decision!
When we fail to obey the direction and voice of God, we live to regret it. When King Saul failed to follow specific direction...s from God, he had to face the consequences of being rejected by God as king. God took the Kingdom of Israel away from him and handed it to David.
We must obey God's word and directions at all times. I know sometimes we think we are "helping" God by deviating from his instructions and plan, but God doesn't need our help. King Saul thought sacrificing the sheep, goats, cattle, and plunder he took from the Amalekites, would please the Lord - even though God specifically told him to destroy everything. He was wrong because bible says in 1 Samuel 15:11 that God was "sorry that he ever made Saul king"
1 Samuel 15:22 says, "But Samuel replied, What is more pleasing to the Lord: your burnt offerings and sacrifices or your obedience to his voice? Listen! Obedience is better than sacrifice, and submission is better than offering the fat of rams"
Seek God's direction in all you do and OBEY his direction and his WORD. May God lead you into this new blessed week. May he go before you, May he go with you and May he follow you in all you do. May God continue to bless you and your families!

Lamentations 3:24 is one of my MANY favorites scriptures. It says; "The Lord is MY PORTION,” says my soul, “Therefore I HOPE in Him!”
We all know just how much God loves us. So why do we often forget this fact and WORRY about things we cannot control? Have you ever seen "worry or tears" rectify ANY problem?
We know God's plan for us is perfect and hopefully - we also KNOW that we can fully TRUST Him. Our heavenly Father KNOWS our needs, wants and desires. So must relinquish ...absolute control to him. We MUST seek Him as the ANSWER for everything in our lives - always! God has enabled us to rest confidently in him and to KNOW that He’s always working on our behalf, in our best interest, and to manifest His glory in our lives. Today, let us set our list of wants and needs and seek God diligently.
Let's go before Him with a HEART of worship, adoration and praise. Let us get LOST in His PRESENCE and GLORY. Let us REMEMBER His MERCY and favor. Let us relish His grace. Let's love Him wholeheartedly. I urge you to Choose Him as your Portion today! May God continue to Bless You and your families. May God Order your steps. Amen!

A pastor got so angry and told a troublemaker in his congregation who had constantly been getting on his nerves that; "You don't know me. Huh?, If you are not careful, I will put this bible on the floor and beat you mercilessly, I used to be the area fighter back in the days. You better go and check my history" :) (Before he realized what just came out of his mouth. Of course. Lol)
Does that sound familiar? Are you occasionally tempted to "show" or "remind" someone of who yo...u "used" to be or what you are made of??
Yep - I'm ashamed to admit that I've been there too. The thing is - when you become "born-again", Satan gets angry about losing you. He becomes very determined to return you back to him. So he will intentionally target what he knows to be your weakest link by sending his agents in the form of people to constantly tap into that link through temptations. And if you are not careful, my friend, you will break by retaliating. But once you break, you have backslided - hence giving Satan his wish. Bible says in 2 Corinthians 5:17 that "Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a NEW creation; OLD things have PASSED AWAY; behold, ALL things have become NEW"

We should all keep this scripture in mind at all times and know that whatever or whoever we were BEFORE we repented and got saved by the grace of God, we are NO LONGER that person. That person is dead forever and should never be referred to or revived - ever again. The very minute we even CONSIDER reviving that old character or habit, we have pleased Satan and given him victory over us. As Christians, let us SOAK ourselves in PRAYER constantly and consistently. If we PRAY without ceasing, Satan and his agents will never succeed in our lives. Don't allow Satan to make you backslide. God has brought you way too far for you to go back. #HOLD onto God's grace and his #word. May God continue to bless you and your families!

Every time you find yourself doubting God, think back and look over your life and remember how far He has brought you. Remember all the hard times He "held your hand" through. Remember all the tears He wiped from your face. Remember all the battles He won for you.
And oh... don't forget all the fears He helped you overcome. And KNOW THAT HE IS GOD.
He will see you through this one too and He will take you far.
Jeremiah 31:3 says: "Long ago the Lord said to Israel: I have ...LOVED YOU, MY PEOPLE, with an everlasting love. With unfailing love I have drawn you to myself."
May God continue to bless you and your families!

"God’s law was given so that all people could see how sinful they were. But as people sinned more and more, God’s wonderful grace became more abundant. So just as sin ruled over all people and brought them to death, now God’s wonderful grace rules instead, giving us right standing with God and resulting in eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" Romans 5:20-21
    Please Pray with me,
Dear God, with a grateful heart, I approach your throne of grace this morning in reverence and total humility. I am fully aware that you are holy and majestic. Speak to me Lord. Bible says when I am overwhelmed only you can show me the way. Please show me the plans you have for me. Please bind me to your word and to your majestic strength. Please grant me the courage to obey your word and to love my enemies. Please help me to forgive others as you have forgiven my own sins. Please restore my brokenness and heal my heartache for the beauty of your glory. Please help me to continue trusting your plans for my life and continue to remind me of your freely given GRACE. In Jesus’s name I pray, Amen!!!
May God continue to bless you and your families! May God direct your path as you cruise through this week and beyond.

"Now the Lord said to Samuel, “You have mourned long enough for Saul. I have rejected him as king of Israel, so fill your flask with olive oil and go to Bethlehem. Find a man named Jesse who lives there, for I have selected one of his sons to be my king.” But Samuel asked, “HOW CAN I DO THAT? If Saul hears about it, HE WILL KILL ME.”. 1 Samuel 16:1-2
    :) Really Samuel?!..
After God rejected Saul as King of Israel, God instructed Samuel to go and anoint one of Jesse's sons a...s King (David). But Samuel was afraid of being killed by Saul. Listen.. God asked Samuel to do something for him and instead of Samuel obliging right away, he was afraid of a "mere human being" - Saul! I'm sure we've all been there - you know? We've been in a situation where we tend to fear a person more than God. We get more worried about what that person would say or do - instead of trusting God to lead and protect us. But we are to fear God and not man. "Man" has no power over our future or our success. Please know that when we trust and obey God's direction, mere human beings cannot harm us. Nothing formed against us by humans shall stand. Oh No!! King David said in Psalm 118:6, "The LORD is on my side; I will not fear: WHAT CAN MAN DO UNTO ME?" #FearGodNotMan. May God continue to bless you and your families!

There were times when I told myself that "I am too broken to preach a sermon today" or "I feel too broken to read the word today" or "I am too broken to pray at the moment"...
But then I remembered my old friend Job in the bible and everything he endured and I asked myself "if Job had felt too "broken" to hang onto the Lord, if Job had given up, would he had lived long enough to bask in the Glory and blessings of God? Absolutely NOT!
As your divine miracles and breakthroug...hs approaches, trials and tribulations also begin to surface, Satan pushes you into a very tight and uncomfortable corner and if you don't stay strong and vigilant, you WILL fall and miss out on those breakthroughs and blessings.
Bible says in Job 42:12; "So the Lord blessed Job in the second half of his life even more than in the beginning. For now he had 14,000 sheep, 6,000 camels, 1,000 teams of oxen, and 1,000 female donkeys"
Hold onto God's word. Ignore the "side-dishes": slander, gossip, rumors, talebearing, jealousy, backbiting and hardships of any kind. Focus on serving the Lord and you will experience God's blessings. May God continue to bless you and your families!

    Another #Blessed day my friends!
I am extremely #grateful to God for seeing us through another beautiful week. Our God is Awesome and there is absolutely NO ONE like Him. We can never DO without Him. I don't know about you, but I #need Him - without God, my enemies will #crush me mercilessly. Without Yahweh, my enemies will drop me like a hot potato and eat me alive. :)
But I thank God for His protection and unfailing love. Yes - MY God IS Awesome! Every day God gives us, ...is an opportunity to #Praise Him.
Join me as I glorify him with thanksgiving.
Let's read Psalm 100; "Shout with joy to the Lord, all the earth! Worship the Lord with gladness. Come before him, singing with joy. Acknowledge that the Lord is God! He made us, and we are his. We are his people, the sheep of his pasture. Enter his gates with thanksgiving; go into his courts with praise. Give thanks to him and praise his name. For the Lord is good. His unfailing love continues forever, and his faithfulness continues to each generation"
#Amen!!!!!... May God continue to bless you and your families!
